Appointments with the doctor or nurse

GP surgeries and clinics are by appointment only. If you are unable to keep an appointment, please cancel at least an hour before the appointment, so that it may be allocated to someone else. Each person needs their own appointment. If more than one person needs to be seen, please book a separate appointment for each individual. You must be registered with the practice in order to see any of the clinical staff. To register with us online, please click here.

Appointments can be booked on the day or up to six weeks in advance by calling the surgery between 9:00am - 6:30pm, Monday to Friday. The phone lines are unavailable between 1:00pm - 1:30pm each day, except on Wednesdays when the surgery is closed from 1:00pm - 3:00pm for staff training.

For continuity of care, many patients prefer to see the same doctor on each visit and we will try to accommodate this. However, please be aware that this is not always possible as some doctor's surgeries can become full before others and you may be asked to see another doctor.

Appointments with the nurses can also be booked up to six weeks in advance. The nurses run a variety of clinics. Click here for services on offer.

Online appointments

Only advance (up to six weeks) appointments are available to book online using Emis Access. On the day and nurse appointments are not available through this service. You must be registered with the surgery in order to use this service. Please ask a receptionist for your registration details. Telephone consultations

There is a doctor on call Monday to Friday between 10:00am - 2:00pm, to give advice and address problems that can be dealt with by telephone without seeing a doctor in surgery. There is a different doctor each day, so if the doctor you wish to speak to is not on call, he/she will not be available to take or return your call except in special circumstances. If the doctor on call is not immediately available, the receptionist will take your details and ask the doctor to call back as soon as possible.

If calling to obtain a test result, please do not book a telephone consultation. Test results are given over the phone between 12:30pm and 1:00pm, Monday to Friday. If the doctor is unavailable, they will call you back.
